Exchanging Swatch Watch Bands

The lug width on SWATCH watch straps can be determined by measuring from one side of the 3 prongs, typical of Swatch watch straps, to the other (from the outside edge of the 1st prong to the outside edge of the 3rd prong). Because these watch strap prongs are integrated into the watch when the strap is fitted, it is recommended to measure the watch strap lug width once the watch strap has been removed from the watch. The actual width of the watch strap can differentiate from this width.

Simply press watch band pins a bit out of the watch case with the help of a pointed item (e.g. spring bar tool "Standard"). The direction does not matter in this case. You can pull out the watch band pins with pliers once they are pushed out a little. The Swatch watch band can now be exchanged. Once the new strap is in place the watch band pin can be pushed back into the case. The new watch band is now fitted. You will find the watch band pins mentioned in the small holes on the sides of the horns on the watch casing.
