The spring bars here can only be used for watch straps which have the lug width (or buckle width, if the spring bars are for buckle attachment) of the spring bars selected. Because of the spring mechanism, the spring bars are slightly longer than the size given. This is necessary in order for the spring bars to have a firm hold in the watch after fitting of the watch strap.
